This guide details all eight of the Elden Ring Legendary Talismans Locations scattered in the Lands Between. I’ll explain what each of the talismans does, how to find them, and when to use them. If you manage to find all eight, you’ll get an achievement called Legendary Talismans!
Please note that while these talismans are among the strongest in the game, they are not necessarily the strongest for your build and may not provide any effect to you whatsoever.
For example, if you’re not using any Sorceries and Incantations, or Ashes of War that can be charged, the Godfrey Icon talisman that increases the damage dealt by charging will be completely useless to you.
Erdtree’s Favor +2 Legendary Talismans Location
The Erdtree’s Favor +2 talisman is located at Lyndell, Ashen Capital, which is only accessible after you have defeated the final boss of Crumbling Farum Azula. I don’t want to say more than that to avoid spoilers.
Accessing talisman itself requires you to enter Lyndell from the side of the Grand Lift of Rold. You can’t get where you need to go from Lyndell proper.
The closest Lost Grace is Forbidden Lands. Along the way, you’ll need to take 2 elevators to as you make your way towards the capital. The talisman itself is located atop a dead piece of wood in the middle of a ton of ash.
More importantly, it’s guarded by 3 (!) Putrid Tree Spirits, though 2 of them are hiding under the ash until you get close to their spawn points. You might be able to get away with just sprinting to the other side, but you’d need a ton of stamina and a bit of luck to ensure you don’t get hit by any of the tree spirits along the way.
It’s basically impossible to take on more than 1 at a time unless you’re ridiculously overleveled or perhaps completely change your build to specialize against fighting Tree Spirits, so try to keep each of the enemies in roughly the same spot while you fight them. If you’re having trouble fighting the Tree Spirits, I encourage you to check out my dedicated guide: How to fight Tree Spirit bosses in Elden Ring.
The Erdtree’s Favor talismans are the equivalent of the Ring of Favor and Protection (AKA the fap ring) from past Dark Souls games. Only the +2 version counts toward the achievement and it can be obtained in your first playthrough (monikers like +1 and +2 no longer necessarily correspond to NG+).
Since the boosts appear to be percentage-based, this is a great talisman to equip once you have already reached the hard caps for Vigor and Endurance but still want more of those stats.
Radagon Icon Legendary Talismans Location
The Radagon Icon Talisman is located on the second floor of the Debate Parlor where you fight the Red Wolf of Radagon boss at the Academy of Raya Lucaria (yes, you can go up there).
To get to the upstairs area, you have to go outside the Debate Parlor into the courtyard area and turn right.
Head over to the stone railings and you’ll see a ladder in the distance and a place to jump down to.
Climb the ladder and jump in through the broken window. The chest will be on the right, though there’s something else to pick up on the left too.
The Radagon Icon talisman works by giving you 30 effective dexterity towards increasing your casting speed, and since casting speed maxes out at 70 actual dexterity, you only need to reach 40 dexterity to max out your casting speed with the Radagon Icon equipped.
Please note that dexterity (including this talisman) only increases the casting time, not the speed of the entire animation, so make sure to test out if you feel a difference with the abilities you use.
I recommend this talisman as one of the best options to use in my Elden Ring Sorcerer PvE Build Guide.
Godfrey Icon Legendary Talismans Location
The Godfrey Icon drops from defeating Godefroy the Grafted at the Golden Lineage Evergaol, which is located just slightly east of the Grand Lift of Dectus at basically the southernmost point of the Atlus Plateau.
The Golden Lineage Evergaol is located on a part of the plateau that is lower than the main Atlus Highway, so your closest Lost Grace will actually be Erdtree Grazing Ground and you’ll need to make your way through an underpass cave beneath the Atlus Highway.
In addition, unlocking the Golden Lineage Evergaol requires a Stonesword Key.
Once you’re finally inside, you’ll face off against Godefroy the Grafted. Godefroy is a very similar fight to Godfrey, the boss you fight at the end of Stormveil Castle. Defeating Godefroy will reward you with the Godfrey Icon.
The Godfrey Icon boosts the damage dealt by fully charged sorceries, incantations, and skills by 15%. In my opinion, this talisman is essential if you find yourself using charged abilities. Otherwise, the damage increase from charging just isn’t worth it.
This talisman is also a good fit for your Sorcerer PvE Build.
Radagon’s Soreseal Legendary Talismans Location
The Radagon’s Soreseal talisman is located at Fort Faroth in northeast Caelid near Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow. The enemies inside are quite formidable. If you’re having trouble with the surrounding area, you might want to wait until you’re a higher level to obtain this talisman.
You’ll have the easiest time if you clear out all the enemies inside before bothering to pick up Radagon’s Soreseal because it’s dark inside and the actual path is not super visible. Make your way up to the roof where you’ll have to fight off a few puppet soldiers. Drop down into the far hole in the floor where there’s a ladder.
The other hole in the floor just puts you back in the main room which is not where you want to go right now. Then, you’ll need to jump across here and you can destroy that wood near the support beam on the right to make the jump easier. Mentally prepare yourself and physically prepare your future Elden Lord to fight a few rats.
Once you defeat the 2 rats, you’ll have to drop down one last time and you’ll be able to loot Radagon’s Soreseal off a corpse.
Radagon’s Soreseal increases Vigor, Endurance, Strength, and Dexterity by 5, but also increases your damage taken by roughly 15%. For reference, Radagon’s Scarseal increases damage taken by approximately 10% and grants +3 of each of those stats instead. You cannot equip Radagon’s Soreseal and Scarseal at the same time. I’d only recommend using the Soreseal if you’re 5 away from reaching a desired cap for one of those stats and wish to focus on another stat.
Marika’s Soreseal Legendary Talismans Location
The Marika’s Soreseal talisman is located in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree, the second half of the Haligtree dungeon. For more info on how to reach the Haligtree dungeon, check out the first part of my guide on how to beat Malenia, Goddess of Rot.
More precisely, Marika’s Soreseal is located atop an altar in a Stonesword Key room at the end of the path where 3 of those grafted meth addicts are patrolling, though you should only have to fight 1 to gain access it if you drop down onto the roof of that room from the bridge where you fight the Putrid Erdtree Avatar.
If you don’t want to warp out, you’ll need to fight at least 1 more of the grafted toddlers who were just told the restaurant was all out of chicky nuggets and choccy milk.
Marika’s Soreseal increases Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane by 5 and increases your damage taken by roughly 15%. For reference, Marika’s Scarseal increases damage taken by approximately 10% and grants +3 of each of those stats instead. You cannot equip Marika’s Soreseal and Scarseal at the same time. I’d only recommend using the Soreseal if you’re 5 away from reaching a desired cap for one of those stats and wish to focus on increasing another stat as you level up.
Dragoncrest Greatshield Legendary Talismans Location
The Dragoncrest Greatshield talisman is located near the end of Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree in chest on the upper level of a chapel full of those creepy Kindred of Rot pests.
This chest is not accessible from the main floor of the chapel, so you’ll need to drop down through the roof. Make your way to the Drainage Channel Lost Grace and from there, travel all the way to the end of the root and drop down onto the bracing structure.
You’ll need to cross 2 other roots to make it onto the roof. Don’t drop onto the balcony! Make sure you drop down through the hole in the roof. You’ll end up in the rafters of the chapel where you can prepare to fight 1 large pest and 3 of its children or whatever those vile things are.
You could think of the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman as a +3 version of the Dragoncrest Shield Talismans, but I guess From Software didn’t want to have a single +3 so they gave it a special design.
Since there’s so much physical damage in the game, I think the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman is a great candidate to use as a talisman for any build, especially if you’re not sure what to do with your final slot.
Old Lord’s Talisman Legendary Talismans Location
The Old Lord’s Talisman is located in a chest at the northern end of Crumbling Farum Azula. You’ll see many deceased beast men along the way, but the chest itself is guarded by 3 of the stronger variants. Keep an eye out because a couple of the enemies are just sleeping.
You can’t access this chest from the Dragon Temple Rooftop Lost Grace even though they’re on the same “island”. The only way to reach it is by traveling from the Beside the Great Bridge and traveling across said Great Bride away from the boss arena.
This talisman has a similar effect to the Lingering Dragoncrest ring from previous Dark Souls games. It increases the duration of buffs applied to you by 30%, though the effect remains rather limited in scope. If something isn’t clearly a buff of some sort (including health regeneration), the Old Lord’s Talisman does nothing. I’d only use this talisman if I had a buff that was integral to my build.
Moon of Nokstella Legendary Talismans Location
The Moon of Nokstella talisman is located in a chest beneath a giant’s throne in the upper part of Nokstella, Eternal City.
In order to access this upper area of Nokstella, you have to make your way through Nokron, Eternal City via the crater near Mistwood Forest after defeating Starscourge Radhan. Then, you’ll need to defeat the Gargoyles boss at the end of Nokron and travel through the underground riding in several coffins.
The Moon of Nokstella talisman grants 2 additional Memory Slots. Personally, I think there are more useful talismans out there. 8 additional slots from getting all the memory stones is enough, especially if you aren’t using any sorceries or incantations that cost 2 or 3 slots.
If you find you need to use the Moon of Nokstella, there’s a good chance you could remove a few Sorceries and Incantations from your line-up. Take a hard look what you have equipped and remove any that offer duplicate functionality or ones where you have trouble executing or benefitting from frequently.
